Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the different approaches and policy measures adopted to overcome the recent crisis. A feature of the current world situation, is the growing indebtedness of the private and public sectors, which has resulted in a dilemma for economic policy measures: An expansive type (anti-cyclical) that stimulate growth, but with the risk of further destabilizing public finances, or restrictive measures that aggravate the recession, but in defense of macroeconomic stability standards.
