Abstract

PASCUAL, Rodrigo F.  and  GHIOTTO, Luciana. Reconceptualizando lo político: Estado, mercado mundial, globalización y neoliberalismo. Argumentos (Méx.) [online]. 2010, vol.23, n.64, pp.133-152. ISSN 0187-5795.

This article aims at the reconceptualization of the political by holding a critical assumption of the term globalization. This is achieved from Open Marxism. In order to do this, we observe the particular relationship between the economical and the political in capitalism in general and, in particular, in the so-called period of neoliberal globalization. The argument holds that, although the political needs to territorialize as the economical does, this must not lead us to delimit the political within the State form. Even more, both the political as well as the economical are realized globally. The object of the political, the dominium over workers (in a general sense) does not remain within the boundaries of the State, but implies, instead, a global dimension. In order to see that form of neoliberal capitalism, we concentrate on Argentina in the period between the years 1989 and 2010. That is why the State theory in the global world will be revisited and reconceptualized.

Keywords : Capital; Social Antagonism; The Political; Territoriality; State.
