Abstract

This paper analyses the work process that tomato's peasants has done in the north of Morelos state, and its regional transformation during the last 50 years. Through this long period the peasant production had to adapt to dynamic environmental from the national market, changing from traditional to modern technology. These processes change the landscapes, social relations and the peasant society. This article examines the concept of citizenship's constructions based in the processes of participation, decisions making and social relationships. Our approach of development confronts the hegemonic concept (economic growth, industrialization), to focus on the action and knowledge of the people.
