FARRELL, Mauricio e RIVAS, Raúl. Effect of precipitation and soil characteristic on analysis of spectral separability in sunflower, corn and soybeans. Terra Latinoam [online]. 2014, vol.32, n.3, pp.201-209. ISSN 2395-8030.
The aim of this study was to analyze the spectral separability between crops its dependence on rainfall and soil type. The study was conducted in the province of La Pampa, Argentina, with data from samples of sunflower, corn and soybean crop years 2000-2003. The different campaigns were followed by remote sensing from the information captured by the MODIS (Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer), by removing vegetation index. The data were treated as repeated measurements over time. The results indicate that the separability is significant among soybean, corn and sunflower, respectively. The effect due to soil tests confirmed separability between sunflower and maize. Moreover, precipitation exerts an effect on crop development and contributes to improving spectral separability.
