Resumen
PAZ PELLAT, Fernando y ROITBERG, Marco Aurelio. Estimation of foliar concentration of vegetation canopy using Direct albedo/absortance parametrizations of leaves. Terra Latinoam [online]. 2014, vol.32, n.2, pp.107-118. ISSN 2395-8030.
Developing direct relationships between information available from remote sensing and leaf optical and biochemical properties requires first converting heterogeneous media, at the plot, stand or pixel scale, into homogenous ones (radiatively turbid). This paper proposes a schema for operational conversion to estimate infinite reflectances (optically dense media) and, from these, estimate foliar albedos. With the estimation of foliar albedos, it is possible to use radiative transfer models in leaves in order to estimate the biochemical concentrations of their components. This approach gives solid bases for developing biochemical spectral vegetation indexes. In addition, converted homogenous media have properties of a black soil limit, thus relating this condition with the spectral invariants theory or p-theory.
