GONZALEZ FRAGUELA, MARÍA ELENA; ROBINSON AGRAMANTE, MARÍA DE LOS ANGELES; SERRANO SANCHEZ, TERESA  e  LIBRE, JUAN J.. INDICADORES DE ESTRÉS OXIDATIVO E INMUNOLÓGICOS EN PACIENTES CON ENFERMEDAD DE ALZHEIMER. Arch. Neurocien. (Mex., D.F.) [online]. 2004, vol.9, n.1, pp.3-10. ISSN 1028-5938.

The central nervous system and the immune have mutual regulation but not all the mecanisms are known. However the mechanisms between metabolism and immune regulation are well known as are the oxidative process in the neurodegenaration that exist in Alzheimer disease (AD). In this work, we try to evaluate in vivo some immune factors and oxidative process with a control group. The determination included the activiting of antioxidant enzime catalasa (CAT), superoxid dismutase (SOD) and the determination of lipoperidoxins (LPX). The immunologic evaluation included the cuantitative estimation of seric levels of interleukin Iß (IL Iß) and tumor necrotic factor α (FNTα) with the use of comertial kits (Bender Medysistem (HIBSC) Results: the exploration of inmune factors demostrated a reduction of the levels of FNTα in the patients with EA (t(40), 2.55 p< 0.05) in comparation with the controls of the same age. The alterations of the oxidative metabolism demostrated a significant increase in both enzimes in patients with AD in comparation with control group, the SOD activity (3.7 ± 2 v/ml vs 0.18 ± 07 v/ml) while the activity of CAT (99.4± 62.5 kv/1 vs 4.2 kv/ 1) The LPX was lower in patients with EA (0.7± 0.01 nmol/1). The matrix of variations in the patients correlation might be caused by the influence of the different neuropathological changes that occur during the disease.
