Abstract
HERRERA MORILLAS, José Luis and PULGARIN GUERRERO, Antonio. Quantitative analysis of sixteenth to eighteenth century mexican book collections listed in the collective catalogue of spanish bibliographic heritage. Investig. bibl [online]. 2010, vol.24, n.52, pp.173-215. ISSN 2448-8321.
The Collective Catalogue of the Spanish Bibliographic Heritage (CCPBE) is and important source in bibliometric research to locate and study works published in México in the sixteenth, seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, and preserved in Spanish libraries. The study specifically analyzes the 939 books identified and located, providing a definition of the number of documents by year of publication, author productivity, printer, subject matter and language. The number of copies of each document is indicated as is the library holding each copy. These data are cross-checked against the Mexican Rare Books Catalogue to determine coincidences and discrepancies.
