Abstract

RODRIGUEZ GARCIA, Ariel Alejandro. Bibliographical Objects Confirmed in the Complex Integration of the Description and Access to Resources. Investig. bibl [online]. 2009, vol.23, n.48, pp.33-59. ISSN 2448-8321.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze bibliographical objects which have been confirmed by the new outlines for Resource Description and Access. Based on the premises of Complex Systems, Interdisciplinarity and Systems Theory, the interpretations that have been used in cataloguing in order to signify things of the real and virtual worlds which live together in the bibliographical universe, are contrasted. The study does not intend to describe each unit mentioned in the cataloguing rules, nor the conceptual entity-relation models, nor the new outlines, but to describe instead those entities which have gone from one extreme to the other due to a lack of consistency in the terminology of bibliographical description itself. Several proposals are made about metaphorical composition and the justification of new paradigms for cataloguing.
