Abstract

Revision and compilation on travel literature written mainly by foreigners about relevant data on libraries, printing houses and bookshops. A general description of travel literature based on travel guides is given, and a classification for this gender is proposed. Also is included information which can be used to reconstruct part of the printed culture related to this matter, which existed in Mexico City during the 19th Century.
