Abstract

SANCHEZ VANDERKAST, Egbert J.. Socialization of knowledge in policies of information. Investig. bibl [online]. 2005, vol.19, n.39, pp.134-157. ISSN 2448-8321.

Knowledge socialization is analyzed through model IPO, which takes the study plan as input, teaching content as the process, and the professional profile as output. Eight higher education institutions involved in library and information science in Mexico were approached in order to find out about information policy courses, with the result that only one of them offered this subject. Since "information policies" have such a difficult fate, even the possibilities of socializing knowledge are substantially reduced and this topic and its research will thus, remain pending.

Keywords : Information policies; Socialization of knowledge; Curricula; Library science and related disciplines.
