Abstract

SANCHEZ LOPEZ, Vladimir; MARTINEZ BOLANOS, Luciano; ZAVALA GONZALEZ, Ernesto A.  and  RAMIREZ LEPE, Mario. New records of Trichoderma crassum for Mexico and its morphological variation in different ecosystems. Rev. Mex. Mic [online]. 2012, vol.36, pp.17-26. ISSN 0187-3180.

Trichoderma fungi are used as biocontrol agents and as a secondary metabolites source. In this study we report the morphological and molecular identification including DNA sequences from ITS and tef1 genes of six Hypocrea crassa/Trichoderma crassum strains isolated from an agricultural ecosystem cultivated with banana (Musa spp.) and four from a tropical semideciduous forest ecosystem located in the Papaloapan region. The soil physicochemical characteristics of its habitat were determined.

Keywords : Hypocrea; taxonomy; morphology; banana; Tuxtepec.
