ROJAS-LOZANO, Victoria Raquel; VAZQUEZ GUTIERREZ, Juan Pablo y PAZ CASTILLO, Laura de la. Emotional and Psychosocial Conditions of Healthcare Personnel During the Covid-19 Pandemic. An Approach to Their Methodologies of Study. Sociológica (Méx.) [online]. 2023, vol.38, n.107, pp.79-123. Epub 27-Oct-2023. ISSN 2007-8358.
Based on standardized criteria for use in systematic reviews and metasynthesis, the authors present a bibliographic review of qualitative investigations conducted between 2019 and 2022 on the emotional and psychosocial health of healthcare personnel charged with caring for Covid-19 patients. They conducted a descriptive-integrative document investigation, with a sample of eighty articles. Noteworthy findings include: 1) the appearance of fear as an emerging category in descriptions personnel gave of their emotional and psychosocial condition in the period analyzed; 2) the presence of important methodological challenges linked not only to difficulties with direct access and copresence, but in a broader sense with the definition of units of observation and strategies for approaching the emotional dimension.
