Using the analytical models developed by F. Crespi, T. Parsons and E. Shils, and Margaret Archer, this article aims to perform a general, abstract review of the circumstances in which it is most probable that creative or innovative behavior will arise. In addition to using them to formulate a hypothesis about this, the author visualizes all the points the three models have in common making it possible to sketch a broader view. The main value of the analysis is heuristic, both in relation to continuity of theoretical development and the eventual orientation of empirical work.
