The aim of this article is to analyze Erving Goffman’s concept of frames of experience and to show its importance as a theoretical-methodological perspective in the social sciences and the humanities. With this in mind, the author reviews the work Frame Analysis and the contributions of specialists like Halbwachs, Bartlett, Bateson, and Bourdieu in different disciplines.
