In this work, I present the perspective from which we approach our object of research: the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Police. I propose a review of the field of study about the security forces, the context of their emergence, and underlying questions and concerns. A brief review of that scenario makes it possible to delimit the differences and specify the concerns of this study. I also sketch the main lines of re-problematization that I propose: displacing it from the police to that-related-to-the police. Lastly, I redefine the object, that-related-to-the-police, and define the forms of approaching it.
