Resumen
MILLONES ESPINOSA, Mario. Neoliberalism in Latin America: An Interpretation Based on the Ideology in Žižek. Sociológica (Méx.) [online]. 2013, vol.28, n.79, pp.51-78. ISSN 2007-8358.
The central hypothesis of this article is that the critique of neoliberalism is still incomplete because what is always pointed to are its economic consequences or its theoretical postulates, while little is explained about how it manages to become part of subjective consciousness in daily life. To address this, the author uses the notion of ideology developed by Žižek, which includes key theoretical elements for understanding how subjects are participants in ideological systems in their daily actions, which are thought to be mere contingencies when, in fact, they are structured.
