MARTINEZ-ZALCE, Graciela. El enemigo en la frontera: Canadian Bacon y South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut, dos productos fílmicos de los noventa. Sociológica (Méx.) [online]. 2006, vol.21, n.61, pp.207-233. ISSN 2007-8358.
At a time when the concept of nation-state is challenged by the reality of a globalized world, with regions that go beyond borders and cities that are a summary of the world, is it still relevant to talk about national identities? In this essay, two products from U.S. pop culture will serve to interpret the paradox in which the concept of border is situated in our time, with regard above all to another fundamental concept, that of national identity.
