RENTERIA-OLONO, Diana; LANDAVERDE-LOPEZ, Antonio  y  SOSA-MEDELLIN, Miguel Ángel. Placement of an ecoguided Mahurkar catheter with convex transducer. Med. interna Méx. [online]. 2018, vol.34, n.5, pp.810-814. ISSN 0186-4866.  http://dx.doi.org/10.24245/mim.v34i5.1958.

We report the case of a 38-year-old female patient who was admitted to intensive care unit of a Traumatology and Orthopedics Hospital after burn injury, she evolved to acute kidney injury as a complication and needed renal replacement. An ultrasound-guided hemodialysis catheter was inserted with convex transducer, of which there are few in literature, because the most common recommendation is to use high frequency transducers based on image quality.
