This article studies a particular case: that of the summary and subsequent exoneration of a teacher and headmistress of a school accused by another member of the school community in 1946 of "engaging in amorous relations with another female teacher." This story is used to analyze popular and state discourse on female homosexuality in Argentina in the mid-20th century. The last section links the case to the transformations implemented by the Peronist regime implemented in 1946.
