LOPEZ GONZALEZ, Georgina. The Administration of Ordinary Justice in Jalisco during the Second Empire. Secuencia [online]. 2010, n.78, pp.89-119. ISSN 2395-8464.

This article analyzes the organization of the courts and tribunals responsible for administering ordinary justice in Jalisco, according to the laws of justice of 1858 and 1865 in force in the Second Empire, as part of the process of Mexico's administrative reorganization during the government of Maximilian of Hapsburg. It also analyzes some of the problems faced by Jalisco's political and judicial authorities to implement the administration of justice during a conflictive period and under a foreign regime lacking the necessary legitimacy to achieve the country's political and social stability.
