Abstract
OJEDA SAMPSON, Alejandra; COVARRUBIAS VILLA, Francisco and ARCEO ORTEGA, María Guadalupe. The Anthropization of Lake Chapala. Secuencia [online]. 2008, n.71, pp.103-129. ISSN 2395-8464. https://doi.org/10.18234/secuencia.v0i71.1045.
Lake Chápala, belonging to the Lerma-Chapala-Santiago basin, should be approached in an integral fashion since the current conditions of the site are largely due to the anthropic actions undertaken in both the basin and the lake itself since pre-Hispanic times. That is why chis study was undertaken using the critical dialectics method in order to highlight its consti-tuent features so that it will shift from a state of environmental and human deterioración to one of equilibrium and social equity, thereby enabling it to recover the sustainable relations man had established with the place.
Keywords : Totality; basin; sustainability; capitalism; pollution; degradation; vocation; recovery; genius loci.
