Resumen

ROJAS HERRERA, Juan José. General reflections on the meaning and scope of the constitutional recognition of the existence of the social sector of the Mexican economy: the context of the cooperative sector. Relac. Estud. hist. soc. [online]. 2016, vol.37, n.146, pp.251-281. ISSN 2448-7554.

Simulation is one of the most deeply-rooted vices in Mexican political culture. It is a phenomenon reproduced even in situations that involve substantive reforms of the country's Constitution. One particularly dramatic case of political and legislative simulation occurred in 1983 in relation to the reform of Article 25 of the Political Constitution of the United States of Mexico, which granted legal recognition to the Social Economy. This study elucidates the details of that experience.

Palabras llave : social economy; State; cooperative movement; legislation; public policies.
