Mycelial growth of Ustilago cynodontis was observed in Petri plates with solid medium MM glucose at pH 3-7 and in MM glycerol pH 3-5. Mycelial-yeast growth type was observed in Petri plates with MM glucose pH 8 at 96 h incubation, and in MM glycerol pH 5 at 96 h and with pH 8 at 24 h. Yeast growth type was observed in the last medium with pH 6-8 at 48 and 96 h. Mycelial growth was observed in tubes with liquid medium MM glucose at pH 3 and 4, and pH 5, 6, 7, and 8 at 24 and 48 h. Similar growth was observed in MM glycerol at the same pH 6 and time intervals. The mycelial-yeast growth type occurred at pH 5 and 6 at 96 h in both media and at pH 7 and 8 in MM glucose at 96 h, while the yeast type of growth occurred at pH 7 and 8 in MM glycerol at 96 h.
