MARTINEZ-FUENTES, Ricardo; TOVAR-SOTO, Alejandro e TORRES-CORONEL, Rolando. Penetration and Establishment of Nacobbus aberrans [(Thorne 1933) Thorne y Allen), 1944] Population Chapingo in Bean Cultivars (Phaseolus vulgaris L.). Rev. mex. fitopatol [online]. 2010, vol.28, n.1, pp.61-63. ISSN 2007-8080.
Studies have been reported concerning penetration and settlement of Nacobbus aberrans Chapingo population in Azufrado, Canario, Flor de Mayo, Negro ejotero and Negro Queretaro bean cultivars (cvs). The plants were inoculated with 2000 J2 in order to perform the penetration study, and became evaluated by nematode amount per root at 2 and 3 days after inoculation (dai). The cvs were inoculated for the settlement study with 4000 eggs, performing a further evaluation after 105 dai. Different nematode penetration and settlement values were revealed among cultivars with a nematode development detention in J3 and J4 stadiums at 105 dai. The post-infective resistance mechanisms inhibiting nematode development are referred to, as well as the variability existence in N. aberrans for crop parasitization, plus bean genoplasma variation to respond to the parasite; the tested cvs are considered as efficient non-hosts.
