Abstract

NADAL PALAZON, Juan. El estilo indirecto no marcado en los titulares periodísticos: fenómenos de omisión del declarante. Acta poét [online]. 2008, vol.29, n.2, pp.415-438. ISSN 2448-735X.

Understood as the mechanism of analytical reformulation that does not display formal indications of retransmission, the unmarked indirect speech constitutes a resource of very high incidence in the codification of the journalistic headlines. In these cases, the informative source (the declarant) is frequently omitted even when it participates in the process that the headline represents (which seems to contradict the informative intentions of the journalistic discourse). This paper identifies four grammar procedures -often ideologically motivated- that the Spanish-speaking journalists use to omit the source-participant in the headlines formulated in unmarked indirect speech: deverbal nominalization, passive voice, subjective clause with infinitive, and impersonal sentence with verb in third-person plural.

Keywords : titulares periodísticos; discurso ajeno; estilo indirecto no marcado; declarante; omisión.
