In order to understand the different levels of signification of Sor Juana's Primero Sueño, it's necessary to go back to the models and sources of its own time, which are not immediately evident to the modern reader. This paper proposes thus to examine the ambiguity and double meaning of the text due to the use of allegorical strategies based on sources of two origins: scientific (astronomy) and mythological. This symbolic interpretation of the poem proposes thus the analytical method in order to examine thoroughly the linguistic resources of the text.
