This article deals with different aspects concerning the writer Hermann Hesse. Hesse's work and the teenagers in Mexico during the sixties. His short novels, inspired on his childhood, adolescence and youth. His search of conscious liberty. Hesse rebellious and anticonformist. His attitude towards the First Wold War and his rejection of german national socialism. Hesse as an outsider, his influence on both Timothy Leary and the hippie mouvement.
