The allegory in Philo of Alexandria is an exegetical method aimed at revealing the transcendental truths in the Pentateuch. This practice is based on a reconstruction of the meaning in different hierarchies of the interpretation which incorporate the Jewish-Hellenic tradition as a means to create a theological system that accounts for the philosophical basis of the Jewish monotheism.
