CABRERO, María del Carmen. ¡Arriba el telón! Discurso, identidad e ideología en tres diálogos de Luciano. Nova tellus [online]. 2007, vol.25, n.2, pp.209-230. ISSN 0185-3058. https://doi.org/10.19130/iifl.nt.2007.25.2.234.
Lucian of Samosata (2nd Century A. D.) showed in his many and varied works a critical intent towards the culture of his own age, which is to be understood as the system of beliefs and ways of life of the cultivated people or of those who, as a result of their social standing, could receive education. New and old gods competed in the imagery of Late Antiquity; Lucian, a non-religious writer, lashes them using satire, parody and pastiche as weapons.
