In this article the author analizes three themes: 1) the classical sources used by Cervantes in order to develop the concept of friendship, 2) fragments akin to the narration of the rape of Lucretia, character recreated by Cervantes in Camila, and 3) the curiosity, an Ovidian topic, of Anselmo, main character of Cervantes’ short novel. The author also highlights the references to Penelope, Portia and Lucretia.
