This paper analyses the myth of Prometheus according to the Hesiodic poems (Theogony and Works and Days) and Prometheus Bound, a tragedy attributed to Aeschylus. By comparison, the aim is to explain the concept of tradition and progress on the basis of the context that this literature was made.
