CAMPOS RIOS, Guillermo y MARTINEZ DE ITA, María Eugenia. México. La "ley de conservación del centralismo" en la investigación. Principales efectos. Rev. educ. sup [online]. 2011, vol.40, n.158, pp.137-150. ISSN 0185-2760.
This article revisits the known phenomena of the centralization of R+D activities in Mexico. The new approach being that the analysis includes the negative effects that are becoming evident in the research and development system in terms of: blocking opportunities for more balanced progress in the national research system, promoting the prevalence of territorial regions that lack the capacity to compete, distorting the research labor market, and the articulation of a false logic of growth and development in the defining of scientific policies in Mexico.
