We analyzed the use of an instrument of discursive strategies (ESTDI) in the university education-learning. There took part four teachers of the career of medicine of the FES Iztacala UNAM with videotaped classes and which analysis and interpretation detected the qualitative use of the discursive strategies in the instrument proposed for every teacher. Identifying a system of categories used in the managing of the speech in the classroom. There was demonstrated the use of two strategies as the dialog and the context, as well as of the use of other six on the interpretation, contribution and recovery of the pupil knowledge, among others.
