The aim of this article is to present some relevant results of the research about the process of incorporation to the European Space for Higher Education of one of the Catalan universities that takes part in the lead scheme, particularly in what concerns the implementation of the new system of credits: the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). The study consists of two phases: the process of capture of decisions on the European reform and the process of implementation of the ECTS. This investigation research contains elements that can be useful for other universities.
