PLANAS, Jordi. El comportamiento de los empleadores mexicanos frente al crecimiento de la educación. Rev. educ. sup [online]. 2008, vol.37, n.146, pp.11-40. ISSN 0185-2760.
This article is about changes in the behaviour of Mexican employers when confronted by increased levels of education amongst the work force. This is the effect of the educational expansion in the last few decades. The text explains the results of research, based on case studies in several firms in Mexico, and establishes the relationship with the results of a similar research carried out on the European Union countries. The analysis is focused on three issues: firstly, the factor of change on skills demand in Mexican firms, secondly, the relationship between skills demand and employees' formal education requirements, and, thirdly, changes in the behaviours of the employers regarding the first two issues.
