Lines of collaboration defined by the OEI on scientific collaboration based on the relevance of the society of knowledge are described. Science and technology are essential and strategic components of the development processes of societies and of the generation of high added value goods and services derived from innovation. Public policies must be efficient in order to foster social efforts to reduce poverty, fight hunger and misery and offer citizens an adequate life standard, particularly focusing on excluded sectors. Initiatives like these allow us to move towards such goals.
