GUTIERREZ PULIDO, Humberto; AGUIAR BARRERA, Martha Elena  e  GUTIERREZ GONZALEZ, Porfirio. Evidence of failure of control and fraud in results of the ENLACE test in secondary education. Perfiles educativos [online]. 2020, vol.42, n.169, pp.123-141.  Epub 15-Fev-2021. ISSN 0185-2698.  https://doi.org/10.22201/iisue.24486167e.2020.169.59168.

We examine the context and evolution of results of the ENLACE test, which have shown vast improvement in mathematics at all levels. Contrary to the approach established in the manuals, levels of mastery in secondary education (Spanish acronym EMS) were obtained directly from scores. An analysis of 6.4 million individual scores in mathematics in secondary education found that the improvement was generalized and gradual over the period (2008-2014), which is attributed to adjustments made in the test or its results favoring such a pattern. Also, a significant bias in the distribution of such scores was identified in the last years studied, which clearly reflects failure of control and fraud in ENLACE testing. This was behind such disproportionate improvements, including 75 thousand students in 2013 and 2014 who obtained perfect scores. In contrast, results for reading in secondary education were not inflated.
