MUNOZ GONZALEZ, Juan Manuel; HINOJOSA PAREJA, Eva Francisca  y  VEGA GEA, Esther M.. Opinions of university students regarding the use of mind mapping for cooperative learning. A comparative study between the Universidad de Cordoba and La Sapienza. Perfiles educativos [online]. 2016, vol.38, n.153, pp.136-151. ISSN 0185-2698.

Mind mapping strategy, implemented in a cooperative manner, is useful for optimizing learning and competency acquisition among students. With the aim of exploring how best to put this strategy into effect and what university students think about mind mapping, the opinions of 130 students at the universities of Cordoba (Spain) and La Sapienza (Italy) were analyzed regarding the cooperative learning process they experienced through the use of mind mapping. An 11-item Likert scale was used. The results reflect a generalized agreement about the benefits of the process of cooperative development of mind mapping. These benefits result in improved understanding and organization of information and the work environment, which also permitted the development of values such as respect. This study also demonstrates slight differences in opinions based on variables such as age, sex and nationality.
