This article analyzes from the point of view of psychological and educational studies several visions about intelligence and knowledge. These visions are tackled through the reinterpretation of the mythical Athenea figure, goddess of intelligence and wisdom, considering her as a popular metaphorical image of what usually is associated to the concept of intelligence and its specific features. Furthermore, the reinterpretation supports itself with the description of the evolution experienced by the scientific models of intelligence from the oldest theories, focused on a global dan static capacity, to the most recent ones, multidimensional and more focused on practical application aspects.
