The necessity to improve the quality and equity in public education is the framework in which this experiment of a radical change at the level of basic education, a change that is underpinned by the conviction and the free participation of teachers and pupils. The experiment developed in the margins of the educational system and, like contagious elements, has been spreading as an efficient solution for an increasing number of schools in the country. By means of the tutorial relations teachers and pupils actually live through an efficient way of teaching and learning. The satisfaction about the results highlights the importance of answering to the academic needs, the motivation and the cultural environment of each individual. The public demonstration of what has been learned, and the tutorship amongst peers is beginning to transform the classroom into a learning community in which all the people are becoming able to learn and teach.
