This article deals with the study of three cases, seen from a historical perspective and based on the study of correspondence, reviews and written work, in order to explain the circulation and new readings experienced by the pedagogical theories and practices that arouse in Europe in the minds of the major figures of pedagogy who were very diferent of the Mexican educators who put them into practice in Mexico. As a theoretical starting point the author chose the journey as a metaphor because of its great explanatory value; the three cases that are presented here articulate their development based on the notions of circulation and acquisition. The purpose of this article is to enrich the horizon of intelligibility of the educational studies domain resorting to the wide range of the new perspectives that are arising in the new history of education.
