This study is based on a research project that investigates the meeting of the social with the individual. It also raises new questions that would help understand social processes without hindering the vast and complex arena of individual experiences, those which will eventually give form to the said social processes. In this study, the notions of 'field' and 'implication' have proved to be of considerable help. While the former is used in the sense that Kurt Lewin had understood it, the latter refers to an affectionate relationship or involvement with the object of study, which is of en referred to as 'transference' in psychoanalytic terms. The field of study comprised of academically oriented post-graduate students within a tutorial system.
