This article deals with the presence of the most representative Western educational thought's classic authors within the work of authors related to the education of pedagogy experts at the UNAM. Our goal is to track this thought's marks on the line-up of the educational epistemologic field between 1940 and 1960, starting from a specific circumstance: the pedagogical theorization and the epistemic and conceptual development in our country, which can be observed by means of the diverse thematizations in the discursive production during this period. A conceptual analysis of discurse will help us to review different works in order to trail conceptuations about education, pedagogy and education sciences in classic authors, emphasizing the marks their argumentations left on sciencificity and the prescriptive features of pedagogy as an academic discipline in contemporary authors.
