Resumen

DIAZ BARRIGA ARCEO, FRIDA. Desarrollo del currículo e innovación: Modelos e investigación en los noventa. Perfiles educativos [online]. 2005, vol.27, n.107, pp.57-84. ISSN 0185-2698.

In this article the autor presents a panoramic vision of the most recent trends in the studies and models related to curriculum development. The point of reference is a state of knowledge of the bibliography produced during the nineties in Mexico, and several international essays and studies as well. The author also includes some of the models which intended to introduce innovations in the field of curriculum from different points of view, such as the ones derived from the business logic, the curriculum flexibility, the constructivist psychopedagogic way of thinking and the experiential models of training by practice, and finally the incorporation of cross curriculum subjects or topics. What can be observed is a relevant expansion and a growing interest in the subject of curriculum development, but also, at the same time, a great diversity of meanings within the adopted curriculum models and a clear ignorance of the ways in which those can be actually carried out in practice and the real changes that they eventually favor not only in the field of curriculum, but also within teaching and the education actors.

Palabras llave : Curriculum; Curriculum development; Innovation; Curriculum models; State of the art.
