Resumen

HERREJON PEREDO, Carlos. The Insurgent Constitutional Congress 1814-1815. Estud. hist. mod. contemp. Mex [online]. 2016, n.51, pp.1-18. ISSN 0185-2620.  https://doi.org/10.1016/j.ehmcm.2016.03.005.

After enacting the Constitutional Decree in Apatzingan, the Mexican Congress ceased to be a Constituent assembly. Neither the deputies themselves nor historians have pointed out clearly that, from October 1814, that legislature was a Constitutional Congress. This article gives an account of the main activities of the corporation until its dissolution in December 1815, a period of great importance for the Mexican insurgency, but of which there are very few documents.

Palabras llave : Insurgency; Independence; Mexico; Constitutional Congress; José María Morelos; José Álvarez de Toledo.
