Abstract

This article presents an account of the political conditions and situations that took place throughout the world in 1968, particularly in the Latin American and Caribbean region. The author describes the political expressions interconnected with student and youth demonstrations that werw developing at that time. Also, fifty years after the 1968 events, their relative importance having transcended until today is highlighted.
