BATTISTINI, Osvaldo R. y SZLECHTER, Diego. When Career Doesn’t Pay Off. The Consequences of Salary Overlap Between White and Blue Collar Workers in Big Companies in Argentina. Rev. mex. cienc. polít. soc [online]. 2017, vol.62, n.230, pp.243-272. ISSN 0185-1918.
In this paper, we analyze the impact of salary overlap between middle management and unionized workers that has been occurring in Argentina in recent years. We consider the reluctance of managers to organize as to protect their interests. This leads us to explore the relationship between Peronism and the middle classes. This article is the product of reflections based on an ongoing research of middle management in big Argentinean companies from various sectors of the economy and with capitals from different countries. The methodological approach is qualitative and is based on in depth semi-structured interviews.
