In this article, the author examines the role of the countries that have signed the TLC (USA, Canada, Mexico) with respect to the protection of the environment, analyzes the importance that environment plays in thge process of the integrations of electrical industries in North America and reviews the link between electrical energy-environment-integration, identifying the future challenges in relation to the reduction of the environmental impacts that the generation of electricity entails.
