Abstract

This article analyzes the actual condition of the systems of broadcasting of Public Service broadcasting (SRSP) that are most representatives within the international field. The investigation has as its object to present comparative studies of broadcasting experiences to ponder on the development and scope of the public service broadcasting in Mexico. At first, the investigation centers on the study of public policies of communication, to understand what is the role as well as specific weight that the broadcasting systems of public service have had in the outcome of the consolidated democracies from a historical perspective; later, to revise briefly what is understood as a broadcast of public service and what are its main characteristics. In a third section he examines the normative frame of the European Union in the matter, as the supra national organism in charge of channeling in an important manner a harmony between the member countries. Finally, the article deals with the three key aspects of the broadcasting systems of Public Service: financing, organization and programming.
