In this article the author analyzes the problematic of semiotic in light of some of its more relevant exponents (Mathesius, Jakobson; Havranek and Mukarovsky, Bogatyrev, Trubetskoi, Courtenay, Saussure, Carnap, Peirce as well as those of the schools that they created (Linguistic Circles of Prague, Moscow and Vienna. She starts with the hypothesis that the problematic in semiotics has to do with meaning and communication; with the system of signs and with the production of signs; with observed language and with the lived language as well as the way they all are linked. She concludes that there is no way that culture, language and semiotics can be separated.
